2014 is drawing to an end. It was a successful year, with great achievements for the FCI and for dogs worldwide.
2015 will be a challenging year for our Federation. We are indeed faced with anti-canine legislations and different issues that might badly affect our beloved 4-paw friends. However, I am convinced that, working together, the FCI team, all over the world, will succeed in overcoming those difficulties, for the benefit of dogs worldwide.

Follow up of the FCI Youth initiative: the FCI General Committee approves and confirms support!
On their last meeting in Amsterdam on 3-4 November, the FCI General Committee members unanimously approved the FCI Youth objectives and structure. They confirmed the operating budget for next year and their support of the initiative: the FCI Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean and Asia and the Pacific sections committed to bring extra funding, which sounds as a very positive sign of encouragement with regard to the work of this dynamic group.
Since the launch of FCI Youth in August, the group members have been busy with :
The members of FCI Youth are currently working on the development of starter kits and toolboxes for FCI national canine organisations willing to put together or further develop activities for children, junior sport clubs, young families, teenagers, young professionals,…
They are also planning their presence on several FCI dog shows in 2015, such as the World Dog Show, but also section shows such as FCI Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean and Asia and the Pacific sections shows.
The idea to integrate FCI Youth activities in the FCI stand calendar was also approved by the FCI General Committee: check the FCI newsletter’s Announcements section to be informed about the presence of FCI Youth members with the FCI stand in 2015!
This thrilling initiative has already created considerable expectation: the Facebook page has already reached thousands of followers! Lots of questions have already been received at the FCI General Secretariat about the future FCI Youth activities, actions and suggestions. We will keep you posted about all this and much more in FCI newsletter because their motto is everyone’s motto!
